Overview
Ralam is the valley trekkers miss — and that's exactly its magic. Branching off the Gori Ganga trail, a steep, wild path climbs to Ralam village, one of the highest and most isolated settlements in Kumaon, ringed by the peaks of the Ralam Dhura. Expect glacial streams, high pastures grazed by bharal, and near-total solitude. This is a trek for those who want the Himalaya as it was decades ago.
Highlights
- One of Kumaon's most remote inhabited valleys
- Steep, dramatic ascent from the Gori Ganga confluence
- High pastures and glacier views near Ralam Dhura
- Genuine solitude — few trekkers each season
- Traditional village life at Ralam
