The Peeth of Sati's Eyes
Shri Naina Devi is a revered Shakti Peetha where Sati's eyes ('naina') are said to have fallen. The temple crowns a hill overlooking the vast blue of Gobind Sagar lake, a landmark of pilgrimage on the Himachal–Punjab boundary.
Darshan and Ropeway
A ropeway and a stepped path both lead to the hilltop shrine. Shravan-ashtami and Navratri bring enormous fairs; the setting above the reservoir makes it one of the most scenic Devi darshans in the lower hills.
How to Reach
Near Anandpur Sahib and Bilaspur, easily combined with Chintpurni and the Chandigarh-area Mansa Devi. Nearest airports at Chandigarh; good road access throughout.
