The Historic Kangra Devi
Brajeshwari Devi, in the heart of Kangra town, is one of North India's most historic Shakti Peethas — tradition places Sati's left breast here. Famed for its former wealth, it was raided and rebuilt many times across the centuries and remains a major pilgrimage centre.

The rebuilt temple is compact and busy, especially during the Makar Sankranti festival when the goddess is honoured with a distinctive week-long celebration. It sits close to Kangra Fort.
