Fourteen Thousand Feet in a Weekend

Bhrigu Lake is one of the few 14,000 ft objectives reachable in a weekend — a sacred tarn named for the sage Bhrigu, set in open grasslands above the treeline with the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges wheeling around the horizon.

The Route

From Gulaba on the Rohtang road, the trail climbs quickly out of the forest into vast meadows, camping around Rola Kholi before the lake push at 14,100 ft. The descent returns to Gulaba or drops toward Vashisht.

Best Time and Difficulty

Late May–June for snow-fringed shores and July–September for green meadows and wildflowers. Easy-to-moderate: short days but a fast altitude gain — hydrate well and treat the lake day with respect.

Detailed day-wise itinerary, current price and departure dates are shared on enquiry. Conditions, permits and regulations change season to season — we confirm everything current at booking.
