1. About Us

5 Peaks Expedition is a Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand-based tour operator organizing treks and yatras across the Kumaon Himalayas, including Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, Khaliya Top, and Darma Valley. By booking a trip with us, you agree to the terms on this page.

2. Bookings & Payment

A trip is confirmed once we receive your advance deposit and any documents required for permits. The remaining balance is due as specified in your itinerary, typically before departure. Prices are per person unless stated otherwise and may vary by group size, season, and route.

3. Permits & Documentation

Several of our routes, including Adi Kailash and Om Parvat via Lipulekh, run through Inner Line Permit zones near the Indo-Tibet border. You are responsible for providing accurate, valid identification documents in the timeframe we request. We are not liable for permit denials caused by incomplete, inaccurate, or late documentation on your part, or by decisions of the issuing authorities that are outside our control.

4. Health & Fitness

Our treks involve high-altitude walking, sometimes above 4,500 m, and require a reasonable level of fitness. You are responsible for disclosing relevant medical conditions before departure and for carrying any personal medication you may need. We strongly recommend a medical check-up before undertaking a high-altitude trip, and travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation.

5. Assumption of Risk

Trekking and travel in mountainous, high-altitude, and remote terrain carries inherent risks, including altitude sickness, weather changes, terrain hazards, and delays from road or trail conditions. By booking with us, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow the safety instructions of our guides and staff at all times.

6. Itinerary Changes

Itineraries are planned in good faith but may need to change due to weather, road conditions, permit timing, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will do our best to keep the overall trip experience as close to planned as possible and will inform you of significant changes as soon as practical.

7. Conduct

We expect all trekkers to respect local communities, protected areas, and fellow group members. We reserve the right to remove a participant from a trip, without refund, in cases of behavior that endangers themselves, other trekkers, staff, or the environment.

9. Limitation of Liability

While we take reasonable care in planning routes, selecting vendors, and briefing guests, 5 Peaks Expedition is not liable for loss, injury, illness, or delay arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural events, third-party service failures, or government actions.
